浸漬後のすすぎは必要か？
消毒薬へ浸漬後のすすぎ（リンス）は、とくに高水準消毒薬（グルタラール、フタラール、過酢酸）で十分に行う必要があります。なぜなら、残留すると重大な有害作用が生じるからです。
たとえば、グルタラール消毒後の結腸ファイバースコープのすすぎが不十分であったために、6名の患者に出血性の直腸結腸炎が生じた例があります1)。チャンネル内（管腔）に残留した本薬が、腸粘膜に接触したためでした。したがって、用手法で内視鏡を消毒した後には十分なすすぎが必要です（図1）
